Er Cr Yb Glass(1535nm Laser glass) Erbium Glass doped with Er 3+ , Yb 3+  and Cr 3+ , Erbium doped glass laser provides a useful coherent source in the spectral range near 1.5 μm, which is relatively safe for the human eye and is convenient in many applications, such as lidar and range measurements, fiber-optic communication, and laser surgery. In spite of the considerable progress in the development of InGaAs laser diode pump sources, Xe flashlamp will continue to be used as pump sources of Er:glass lasers because of their high reliability and low cost, and also the simplicity of design of such systems. Since about half the flashlamp radiation energy is emitted in the visible and near infrared (IR) ranges, a second sensitizer Cr 3+  is introduced into Yb-Er laser glasses to utilize this energy.

ZGP Nonlinear Crystal ZnGeP 2 (Zinc germanium phosphide)crystal has many good properties and is an mid-IR nonlinear crystal. The nonlinear susceptibility of ZnGeP 2  (ZGP) crystal is approximately 160 times large (d36~75 pm/V) as KDP,.ZGP shows good optical transparency over the 0.74–12 mm and relatively high laser damage threshold, and is therefore well suited for producing near infrared tunable laser. ZGP is a very hopeful material for mid-infrared devices such as SHG, SFG, OPO, and OPG/OPA.

Co Spinel Q-Switch Crystal Co spinel——saturable absorbers for the passive Q-switching of solid-state lasers operating at eye-safe wavelength of 1.5 μm Lasers emitting at 1.5µm are of great interest for several industrial applications. Other advantages of this wavelength are high transparency in atmosphere and fused-silica wave guides and availability of sensitive room temperature light detectors(Ge and InGaAs photo diodes).All this makes 1.5µm lasers very attractive for applications in range-finder, environmental sensing, telecommunications, surgery,etc. Co:Spinel absorption peak is close to 1520nm,which is most used in eye-safe laser. The absorption cross-section at 1520nm is 3.5×10 -19 cm 2  and at 1331 is 2.8×10 -19 cm 2 ,it has reported as Q-switch crystal for Er,Yb Glass and Nd:GYSGG,Nd:YALO 3.

LiNbO3 Crystal LiNbO 3  crystal has been widely used in optical waveguide and optical communication technology because of its excellent electro-optical properties. It is an ideal substrate material for many integrated optoelectronic devices. Because of the large electro-optic coefficient of LiNbO 3 , the half-wave voltage is low.
